Wasted Days
Well, Zion park was very nice, but we didn't actually see much of it. We packed up our campsite and drove the hour and a half or so to Zion. When we got to the park entrance we were stopped by road construction..and there we sat...and sat...and sat. When we finally got going, we were disappointed to learn that we were on a dirt road that wound down and through some mountains via switchbacks and tunnels. The scenery was amazing...but the going was slow- like 20mph the entire way. It took them 3 hours to change my oil!!! Guess the employees took breaks like we used to back in high school! We thought this meant we could get on the road and head to Jackson, but we were wrong again. Apparently EVERY SINGLE campground and hotel room in a 50 mile radius around Jackson is booked! We were only able to get a
